Conceived in 1995 by Ariel Jersey, Charlie Kemplin and the late Mike Dunne, United Tourist Promotions (UTP) began small producing tourist brochures in areas with large concentrations of tourists and expatriates.

UTP received its "baptism of fire" with an early commission by the Philippines' Department of Tourism (DOT) to produce a series of 60 promotional brochures titled "Best of the Islands". This was followed in 1996 by the  Philippines Convention and Visitors' Corporation (PCVC) tasking UTP to produce tourist and street maps of selected areas in the country for delegates of the Asia-Pacific Economic Conference (APEC).

Boosted by repeated success, in 1997 UTP began developing its own series of publications under the brand name EZ Maps®.

In 1999,UTP published the first edition of the EZ Philippines Travel Atlas®. Supported by the regional directors of the Philippines Department of Tourism (DOT), this publication featured comprehensive up-to-date information on the country's 16 regions, with detailed city street maps, useful contact information, and specialty maps showing festivals, historical and religious sites. From first relase, the atlas was a resounding success, receiving accolades from every quarter and further boosting confidence in UTP's future endeavours.

To date, UTP has produced 40 EZ Map® titles, one travel atlas and two road atlases, a child's travel activity book and two laminated wall maps - all of which are regularly updated and continue to have active and ever increasing sales figures. In addition, the comprehensive EZ Metro Manila Street Guide® and EZ Metro Cebu Street Guide® have recently been released generating considerable interest and orders.

Using distinctive, colorful and easy-to-understand layouts, EZ Maps® have become the Philippines' #1 Best Selling Maps Series. More impressively, with generous discounts available for points of sale, stocking UTP publications provides a significant return on investment (ROI) for retail outlet owners and distributors.

From its headquarters in Diamond Subdivision, adjacent to the Clark Freeport Zone, and a branch office in Manila, UTP continues a commitment to creating, publishing and distributing high quality travel publications for a world wide market in cooperation with the Philippines Department of Tourism.
