Presidential Consultant for Entrepreneurship Joey Concepcion III and President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo present the Most Inspiring Tourism Entrepreneur Award to Ariel Jersey, publisher of United Tourist Promotions (UTP), at the Tourism Negosyo Expo held at the SM Mall of Asia. Ariel was given the award for introducing the Philippines to the global tourism map through its series of EZ Map travel publications of the country’s major tourist destinations. For more than a decade now, UTP has been providing user-friendly road maps and has, to date, 48 titles. The expo was organized by the Philippine Center Entrepreneurship and the Department of Tourism to promote entrepreneurship and business excellence in the tourism industry.

United Tourist Promotions (UTP) was on the road again in March promoting EZ Maps and other EZ travel publications during the 2008 VisMin Travel and Lifestyle Show held at Cebu’s SM Supermall. UTP’s president, Charlie Kemplin, along with members of Dos Libras Marketing, the exclusive EZ Map distributor for the Visayas and portions of Northern Mindanao, were on hand to greet Governor Gwendolyn Garcia, who provided inspiring opening remarks and cut the ribbon to officially kick off the event. The yearly VisMin showcases hundreds of travel and lifestyle exhibitors and retailers. The expo is designed to draw trade and industry professionals, and public visitors from around the Philippines and the Asia Pacific region.
